Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood demands his song be removed from the Melania documentary

Melania– a long excerpt of the song is heard in the documentary Barbara Rose, which was originally made into a film Phantom Thread (2017). Directed by the movie Paul Thomas Anderson is included in the deletion request. Anderson is also known today One Battle After Another from his film (2025).

Greenwood says in a statement that the use of music in the Melania documentary violates the composer’s contract. Although Greenwood does not own the copyright to the music, according to the agreement Phantom Thread Universal, the distributor of the film, should have consulted the author if the song is made available to outside parties.

According to music media, one third of the authors of the documentary do not want their names mentioned in the author information. The members of the film crew said that the filming was chaotic and the days were very long.
