The Dawson’s Creek star’s family is showered with financial support at a furious pace

Dawson’s Creek actor James Van Der Beekin the death has created a huge outpouring of sympathy, which is now seen as significant financial support for his family.

An actor’s wife Kimberlynn founded by friends GoFundMe campaign had collected more than 1.1 million dollars, i.e. a little less than one million euros, before midnight Finnish time.

The purpose of the campaign is to help the family in an “uncertain future”. The collection goal is set at 1.3 million dollars.

The collection speed has been incredible, as the amount has been collected in just 12 hours. On average, it has generated nearly $100,000 per hour. The maximum donation is $25,000.

Collection page according to Van Der Beek’s long battle against colon cancer left the family in dire financial straits. Medical expenses, uncertainty after the loss and securing the everyday life of six children have been overwhelmingly difficult for the family.

“The cost of James’ medical treatment and long-term battle with cancer have left the family without funds,” the page says.

The campaign is justified by the need to ensure that the family can stay at home and that the children’s education continues in as stable conditions as possible.

In the United States, long-term cancer treatments are very expensive, and the loss of work ability quickly taxes an actor’s income.
