The bed sheet company’s logo and Taylor Swift’s autograph were too similar

According to Swift’s legal team, the bedding brand sought to take advantage of the singer’s popularity.

American the home textile manufacturer has withdrawn its trademark application to avoid a potential singer-songwriter dispute Taylor Swiftin with.

The textile manufacturer wanted to register a trademark for a bedding brand called Swift Home, but Taylor Swift’s representatives asked the US Patent and Trademark Office to reject the application.

The incident was reported by the British Broadcasting Company BBC.

Textile manufacturer Cathay Home applied for the Swift Home trademark at the end of 2025. Swift’s legal team asked for the petition to be dismissed on February 11.

Cathay Home told the BBC that it had withdrawn its trademark application as it was not necessary for the business.

Swift’s legal team’s petition to the Patent and Trademark Office said that the company’s name and logo resembling Swift’s signature could create the impression that Swift was somehow behind the bedding brand. The brand’s name and logo were intended to take advantage of the singer’s fame, the petition argued.

Swift, who is one of the most popular artists in the world, has registered more than 300 trademarks related to herself, the BBC says.

So far, neither Swift nor her representatives have publicly commented on the case.
