Fnm ‘adopts’ the “Bearded Saint with Book” from the Milan Cathedral and restores its splendor

Fnm unveiled today in Milan, at Piazzale Cadorna, the statue of the “Bearded Saint with Book”, restored as part of the ‘Adopt a statue’ project promoted starting from 2020 by the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano in order to support the activities of safeguarding, valorising and protecting the artistic heritage of the Cathedral, restoring splendor to some of its sculptures removed from the monument, over the centuries, for conservation reasons. The restored work takes the place of the nineteenth-century one of “San Abdon”, which has remained visible to the public since June 2022, when Fnm joined the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo project.
