Villa Adriana gives up portion of the walls of the Piccole Terme

Collapse at Hadrian’s Villa. Today, at approximately 1.30 pm, the collapse of a portion of ancient masonry in opus reticulata occurred in the area of ​​the so-called Piccole Terme at Villa Adriana, in Tivoli, in a sector not open to the public. The detachment is attributable to the accumulation of rainwater resulting from the rainfall of recent weeks. This was announced by the Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este Institute, specifying that Ministry technicians intervened immediately and are preparing the necessary operations to ensure and monitor total safety.
