BBC: Disney told Tiktok owner to stop its new video AI

TikTok The Chinese company Bytedance, known as the owner, has promised to limit the operation of its new Seedance 2.0 artificial intelligence model, says BBC. Bytendance’s promise was heard after media giant Walt Disney Company had threatened the company with legal action.

Other actors in the entertainment industry have also complained about the activities of Seedance, which produces videos.

The artificial intelligence model released last week is capable of producing short, movie-like stories with instructions from a few sentences.

Disney sent Bytedance a demand to stop Seedance’s operations on Friday. Disney accuses Bytedance of violating copyright laws. The videos created with Seedance have used sadness, for example, characters from the Star Wars film series and the Marvel universe.

Bytedance told the BBC on Monday that the company has taken steps to protect copyright. However, Bytedance did not specify what these actions are.

Other companies in the film industry have also been concerned about the new artificial intelligence model. MPA, an interest organization representing major film studios, published last week statement in which it accused Seedance 2.0 of unauthorized exploitation of works protected by copyright in the United States.
