Gauthier Le Bret succeeds Morandini and Sonia Mabrouk at the end of the morning on CNews with “100% Frontières”

CNews continues to reorganize itself. Shaken by the departures of Sonia Mabrouk and the withdrawal of Jean-Marc Morandini from the air, the Canal + group channel wants to stabilize its schedule until the end of the season. She already started to do this last week by revealing the name of the one who succeeds the journalist at the head of the morning political interview. Choosing safety, channel 13 decided to bet on Laurence Ferrari, well known to its viewers for already being at the helm of “Punchline” every day from 5 to 7 p.m.

The broadcaster still had to find a solution for the end of the morning and midday, where “Morandini Live” (10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.) and “Midi News” (12 p.m. to 2 p.m.), presented by Sonia Mabrouk, were previously broadcast. In an emergency, the channel opted last week to extend Pascal Praud’s “L’Heure des pros” by 30 minutes (until 11 a.m.). She then entrusted the 11 a.m.-noon slot to political journalist Thomas Bonnet, then the following two hours to Pierre de Vilno, historic voice of Europe 1.

According to our information, this reorganization is only temporary. Things will change from Monday February 23. If Pascal Praud keeps his half-hour on air in the morning and his slot from 9 to 11 a.m., Thomas Bonnet is, on the other hand, preparing to give up his place to Gauthier Le Bret. The just-thirty-year-old inherits a new show scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday to Thursday, straddling the old slots of Jean-Marc Morandini and Sonia Mabrouk.

The boss of the identity media Frontières and a face of the JDD

Called “100% Frontières”, this new event will have as its main columnist Erik Tegnér, head of the identity media Frontières, who should also provide some of the images that will be broadcast there. Another face expected around the table, Jules Torres, from JDD and JDNews, two press titles from the Bolloré galaxy.

From 1 to 3 p.m., CNews viewers should then find Pierre de Vilno, then from 3 to 5 p.m. Nelly Daynac, who would lose an hour of airtime in the process. The rest of the schedule will then remain unchanged, until “100% Politics”, Gauthier le Bret’s other daily meeting. Until now broadcast from 9 p.m. to midnight, it should now end an hour earlier, except in the event of a special evening.

With four hours of broadcast per day, the young presenter will become the most present face on the CNews channel, more now than Pascal Praud. He will also continue to appear regularly in his colleague’s program on Europe 1, “Pascal Praud and you”, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
