“Wrong people”: before the wedding – Zendaya opens up about red flags in the relationship

Zendaya tends to keep her private life as far away from the spotlight as possible. But as part of the promotion of the movie “The Drama”, in which she plays an engaged woman who experiences a shock days before her wedding, there was no way to stay away from the event – a year after she got engaged to Tom Holland.

Zendaya spoke for Interview magazine With the star by her side in the film, Robert Pattinson, about warning lights in relationships, when she responded to his question “Which red flag in a partner do you find charming?”, and her answer was unequivocal: “As I’ve gotten older, I think a red flag is a red flag, you know?”

She later added that there is no way to “accept” a clear version of a person from the moment you meet them, since “people are multi-layered and complex, and they make mistakes. You can know someone for a long time and they can change – or you discover a deeper layer about them and you say: ‘Wow. I haven’t seen this side of you,'” the star added, and was asked by Pattinson if this is a “sexy thing” in her eyes. To this, she answered firmly again: “No, I don’t like surprises. Let’s be open about the madness.”

Zendaya and her fiancé Holland star together – alongside Pattinson, in a new epic. In the professional context, she told the magazine: “One red flag that is relevant to us at work is how people treat their teams. I admire people who are kind to everyone, not just actors, directors or producers.” She also added that “a very significant thing is how the team feels towards a certain player, because they see how people behave when the cameras are not working.”

After these things we were left curious, but for now we can be calm, because in the past Zendaya said about her fiancé “Maybe I’m a little biased, but he’s not only my favorite person, he’s also the person I like working with the most.”

The two began dating in 2016 after meeting on the set of “Spider-Man: Homecoming”. A year later, they sparked rumors of an affair and later, in July 2021, they confirmed the relationship after they were caught kissing in a car. At the end of December 2024, after three and a half years together, they got engaged in an intimate proposal during the Christmas holidays.
