Peter Greene, cult villain from ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘The Mask,’ dies from accidental gunshot wound

He was found dead in his apartment. American actor Peter Greene, known for his villainous roles in “Pulp Fiction” (1994), or “The Mask” (1994), died on December 12. The circumstances of his death are now known: the actor was fatally injured by a bullet.

He died of a “gunshot wound to the left armpit with damage to the brachial artery,” according to the New York medical examiner’s office, relayed by People. The bullet caused hemorrhage after damaging the artery supplying blood to his arm, elbow, forearm and hand. The death is considered an “accident”, without further details.

Music for several days

Peter Greene’s neighbors alerted emergency services to monitor the actor’s health after hearing music playing non-stop in his apartment for several days.

It was the actor’s manager, Gregg Edwards, who confirmed the actor’s death. Peter Greene notably gave life to Zed in the famous film “Pulp Fiction”, by Quentin Tarantino in 1994, but also played Dorian, sworn enemy of “The Mask” in the eponymous film directed by Jim Carrey.

Born in New Jersey in 1965, he ran away from home at the age of 15, forcing him to live on the streets for several years. He then began his acting career in the early 1990s.
