Less than half a year after they got married, fans are now calling for Selena Gomez (33) to divorce her husband, Benny Blanco (37). The music producer launched a new podcast yesterday (Tuesday), Friends Keep Secrets, with his good friends Lil Dicky and his wife Kristin – but the meeting between the three caused discomfort among fans, who do not understand how Gomez is even in a relationship with him.
“Selena should divorce him and find someone better,” was written among the many reactions on the networks, after Blanco was recorded in a podcast lounging barefoot on a sofa, with his feet, very dirty, towards the camera. At another stage he already felt really comfortable when he asked his friends “see if you manage to absorb it” – before letting loose a puff.
Unlike Blanco and his friends, many of Gomez’s fans were less amused and didn’t hide their opinion on the matter: “I can’t believe she lets him touch her,” was written in response to the episode. “A man’s worst enemy is himself – Selena how did you do this to yourself?” asked another while others added: “Literally why would she marry him of all the men in the world?”, “This is disgusting, I don’t know how Selena deals with this”, and “I have never been disappointed in Selena like I am now.”
But this is not the first time that Blanco has raised eyebrows about his hygiene habits. In an interview he gave to People magazine, as part of his mention in the “Sexiest Man of 2024” list, he admitted that he doesn’t shower every day. “There are people I know who shower two or three times a day, but I feel that these oils on the skin don’t have time to regenerate,” he said at the time. “I want there to be a fragrance when I walk by. I want it to smell a little masculine and a little feminine – I definitely lean more towards the feminine in every sense.”
