Culture warns that young people who make “fraudulent” use of the Cultural Bonus must return it after spending it in nightclubs

The Ministry of Culture has warned on social networks that beneficiaries who “fraudulently” use the Young Cultural Bonus They must reimburse these amounts to the Administration.

This has been the response of the department led by Ernest Urtasun after the appearance of a video on social networks in which a group of young people tries to access a nightclub in Madrid using the Cultural Bonus.

In the images, a man teaches several young people how to use the Cultural Voucher to access the festival site and comments that “People don’t know that they can also spend money on leisure, like going out to party“. The young people assure that they have more than 150 euros of the Cultural Bonus, so, according to the protagonist of the video, they can proceed with the payment, through a platform for nightlife businesses.

Given this, the Ministry states in its publication that companies that allow improper use of the Bonus “will be penalized and face the possibility of expulsion from the program.”

The Young Cultural Bonus is an aid of 400 euros for young people who turn 18 years of age to acquire and enjoy cultural products, services and activities. The Bonus works with a prepaid card that the beneficiary can have virtually on their mobile phone or receive physically at their home.
