Canadian author Rachel Reid is postponing the publication of her upcoming book Unrivaled from September to early June 2027 due to worsening symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
Reid’s previous book, Heated Rivalry, became a worldwide sensation when it was made into a TV series by Canadian Crave Television.
Unrivaled is the seventh volume of the Game Changers book series, in which Shane and Ilya, a hockey couple from Heated Rivalry, are married and adjusting to the public nature of their relationship.

“Later this week there will be announcements that people have been hoping for, so maybe that will soften the delay in the book release,” Reid continued in his Instagram video.
Otava publishing house in Finland has announced publishing a series of books Hanna Arvonen and Heli Koskinen in Finnish during the years 2026 and 2027. The first parts will be published in August and September 2026.
