The West Coast hamburger chain became an Oscar crowd favorite

At the Oscars there are elements and traditions that are guaranteed to repeat year after year.

One tradition is celebrities having a hamburger after the gala.

Every year, after the festive gala evening, public figures end up enjoying hamburgers from the In-N-Out Burger chain while crunching the greasy papers. Lots of spontaneous pictures have been taken of the moment of indulgence.

This year, the winner of the male actor award ended up in hamburger pictures Michael B. Jordan .

When Jordan got the busier things taken care of on Sunday evening, he headed to the In-N-Out Burger restaurant of the Californian burger chain near the Dolby Theater for a bite to eat.

Jordan participated in the official sequels organized after the actual Oscar gala, that is Governors Detailsbut a reporter for the Los Angeles Times Christie D’Zurilla thinks that Jordan might not have liked the chicken nuggets served there with a caviar sauce or the smoked salmon, also with a caviar sauce.

Jordan ordered a fairly large cheeseburger from In-N-Out Burger.

Jordan received from those present thunderous applause as soon as he entered he was holding an Oscar.

According to videos on social media, he posed for numerous photographers and fans at the counter of the restaurant. He then went to sit at a restaurant table, where two trays full of hamburgers and fries were brought to him. Jordan enjoyed his meal while posing for photographers.

Hit the spot by accident Tom Whitfield told For People magazinethat the visit did not seem completely spontaneous, but that the employees had perhaps prepared for Jordan’s arrival.

In his Instagram post, Whitfield said that he had tried to hook up with public figures at the Dolby theater earlier in the evening and that he detoured on a whim for a hamburger at a nearby restaurant before heading home. It was quite a surprise when the Oscar winner arrived.

“The timing was absolutely perfect. We met a big Hollywood star, the winner of the Academy Award for Best Actor, a few hours after the award. I was completely mesmerized. Totally amazing. Then we stole his French.”

In-N-Out Burgerista has become a favorite of the Oscar crowd, perhaps because its burgers have been served at the Oscar parties organized by Vanity Fair magazine for more than 30 years.

The tradition began in 1994, when the newspaper offered free hamburgers from a food truck to the employees of the party, and some invited guests started asking if they would sell them too.

Vanity Fair’s Oscar parties always start as small-scale dinners while the actual Oscar gala is still going on. The party starts in earnest, as revelers pour in from the Dolby Theater – hungry for a burger. At the Oscars, mostly small snacks are served, The Los Angeles Times reports.

Last year at the Vanity Fair party were met eating hamburgers, for example, the winner of the best actor award Adrien Brody together with his family. Winner of the Best Supporting Actress award Zoë Saldana walked through the party with an Oscar stick in one hand, a hamburger in the other.

In 2024, a director legend Steven Spielberg was so excited about his In-N-Out burger that he took a picture of it before taking a bite. Pictures from the event spread widely.

Also Michael B. Jordan was photographed this year at the Vanity Fair party golden upright in hand. The provided party venue at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art would have had In-N-Out jetset diners again, but it was clearly an honor for Jordan to eat at an actual hamburger restaurant.

In-N-Out Burger chain differs from most other hamburger chains in that its restaurants are not in the hands of franchise entrepreneurs and it has not been listed on the stock exchange. Instead, the restaurants are run by a family business that was founded in 1948 and is owned by the current owner Lynsey Snyder is the grandson of the founders. This arrangement has been used to keep the quality of the restaurants’ food at a high level.

The downside is that the company has not spread as widely as many of its competitors. It currently has around 400 restaurants in ten statesmostly in the western United States.

The hamburger place has developed over the years as well an obvious continuation of many other galas. The place’s burgers have been found enjoying the Emmy Gala, the Grammy Gala and the Golden Globe Gala successful people.
