‘Tortuous paths’ by Alessandro D’Amato, presentation in Rome on Friday

An investigation into the formative years of the famous Sicilian anthropologist Giuseppe Cocchiara, in a period of time (1922-1945) characterized by a succession, at times frenetic, of episodes and events that shaped his personality and set the course for his studies and research. The book ‘Tortuous paths – Giuseppe Cocchiara in his formative years’ by Alessandro D’Amato ‘tells’ an important piece in the historiographical reconstruction of Italian anthropology during the controversial period of the fascist regime. The volume, by Edizioni Museo Pasqualino, will be presented on Friday 27 March, at 6pm, at the Casa della Memoria e della Storia in Rome (Via San Francesco di Sales 5).
