Nerea Barros stars in ‘La Nena’, the violent conclusion to ‘The Gypsy Bride’, and warns: “Reality is stranger than fiction”

“In fact, that is why there are many people who find it very difficult to watch the series, because you see that it is fiction, but deep down it is so real…“, reflects the actress in a meeting with the media held during the Malaga Festival, where Europa Press was present.

In ‘La Nena’ a character that takes on special importance is the one played by Lucía Martín Abello. Martín Abello’s character in the series is not exactly the same as the one in the book and the interpreter considers her more empowered. “I believe that Carmen Mola was very clear about the line they were going to follow in the three books.. And for me, they had something very marked, especially with the female characters, that could be less attractive to us,” she explains. Likewise, the actress claims the importance of “capture the ideal that at a social level we women are demanding so much or so much we are projecting“.
