Zaho de Sagazan, great pop from France: look at this woman – Culture

The fact that pop music has become so unbearably boring, as only people of a certain age find it, is not least due to the USA. Only perfection comes from there. Every note, every curl, every low-cut costume is so firmly in place that people here in old Europe wonder how it is possible. Probably with Autotunetons of hairspray and double-sided multi-purpose tape. It is of course incredibly impressive how they deliver. And so efficient: after listening to the new BeyoncĂ© album once – 26 songs, total length 78:21 minutes – you have enough music for a good two months. Such a storm of meaning. Such maximum production. Such pop anthem bombast. It rolls over you like an avalanche and leaves you exhausted and a little sad, despite all the admiration it wrings from you.
