The joint journey between Theater of Sardinia and Sae Sardiniaa company controlled by Sae Group, based in Sardinia which, in addition to other newspapers in Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, publishes La Nuova Sardegna and Sardinia Post. To seal the partnership, the editorial director of the Sae Group, Luciano Tancredi, has been appointed by the board of directors as honorary president of the Teatro di Sardegna. He will therefore work alongside the general director Massimo Mancini, in a synergy that represents a novelty in the world of culture: a group of national dimensions that ranges from publishing to integrated communication together with the main private cultural enterprise of Sardinia, the only theater for over 50 years of Significant Cultural Interest on the island. Various joint development plans have already been identified, from training to content production, to the development of projects linked to the promotion of the territory in Italy and abroad.

“This choice confirms and radicalizes the position of the Teatro di Sardegna as a producer of theatrical, visual, performative, cultural and social content – insists Massimo Mancini – and strengthens the ability to act in the different contexts we inhabit”.

Thirty employees, 14 international cooperation projects, 25 productions involving almost two hundred artists and technicians are the main numbers of the Teatro di Sardegna as a cultural company of national and international importance. Sae – Sapere Aude Editori, a company founded and led by Alberto Leonardis, president and CEO, is a Media Company based in Sardinia that imposes itself on the Italian information scene with six newspapers (paper and digital): La Nuova Sardegna, Sardinia Post, Il Tirreno, Gazzetta di Modena, Gazzetta di Reggio, La Nuova Ferrara. “We are very satisfied with this agreement – explains Leonardis – aimed at developing the cultural value of the Sardinia region and its promotion on the continent and in the world”.

In addition to its commitment to the publishing world, for a few months Gruppo Sae has in fact extended its area of action, with its entry into the integrated communication sector. With Sae Communicationa newly established company also based in Sardinia, is creating the largest integrated independent agency with Italian capital, with over 75 million in revenues and around 260 creatives, which are added to the revenues of the Sae Group, around 50 million euros with over 200 employees, for a total of approximately 500 employees.

“We are already working to identify common project lines – concludes Tancredi – and I am very happy to have found, from the first moments of discussion, the openness and willingness to collaborate among the Sardinian institutional and entrepreneurial stakeholders. The cultural scene of the region is alive and in great turmoil and we are happy to be able to contribute in every possible way with our know-how to its further growth and affirmation within and outside regional and national borders”.

The first joint action is Breaththe performing arts festival of Sardegna Teatro, which will be presented at Sa Manifattura on Wednesday 5 June, at 11 am.
