New Cablebús line will facilitate urban mobility and cultural tourism tours

The Chapultepec area view will be a tourist attraction in itself thanks to Cablebús line 3, coupled with the mobility that will extend through the four sections of the urban park with public and ecological transportation that will travel 5.5 kilometers in 21 minutes.

The aerial tour is divided into six stations and begins at the Los Pinos Cultural Complex, in the first section; It continues with the Panteón de Dolores, Charrería, Parcur and Cineteca Naciona stations, to culminate in Vasco de Quiroga, in the town of Santa Fe.

The line of hanging cabins will connect with the interurban train that will head to Toluca, currently under construction. It will also be linked to the Constituciónntes station on Metro line 7.

According to the Chapultepec Project: Nature and Culture, the travel time of people who live in the Álvaro Obregón and Miguel Hidalgo municipalities, limited by natural and urban barriers, will decrease.

Alejandra Frausto, federal Secretary of Culture, celebrated the radical change for the people who live in Santa Fe, since Constituciónntes Avenue has terrifying traffic. He said the stations are a cultural tourism destination because they have an identity and will host exhibitions. An acoustic gallery is being built at the Cineteca station to present sound art. This new presence It is something that really transforms the life of the city.

The urban landscape already has towers through which the blue cable car cabins will go, where there used to be a wall of military infrastructure. When passing over the Community Culture Pavilion, a space for creative seedbeds, you can see the 25-meter-diameter circular mural that was worked on by 700 children from seven states.

In contrast, challenging trails called Snakes and Ladders run below ground level and in rugged countryside. They are walks to walk through the ravines that include two bridgesFrausto explained. The route was built with scaffolding that was conceived as Legos, with a recycled material that does not retain heat and allows water filtration.

The 6 kilometer walk can begin by bicycle or walking from the Panteón de Dolores or through Parcur.

Silence, solitude and the open sky are part of the reward of this new way of relating to the most symbolic natural area of Mexico City.
