50 exhibitions at the Düsseldorf Photo Biennale

Dry fog wafts through the room, a few balloons filled with helium float a little further with every movement of the visitors. Everywhere was full, which is not surprising, because the Biennale brings together countless aspects of the medium. Photo art through the decades, talks on the relationship between image and reality, new places such as a seventy-meter-wide LED screen on the Kö shopping mile, which of course serves commercial interests. In the evening, however, the American artist Julia Scher tells the story of the exodus of pets who are fed up with their warlike owners in a film work.
