Helsinki City Festival continues – Moves to the area used by Sideways Nordis – Kulttuuri

Helsinki City Festival announces that it is aiming for a larger audience.

On the weekend Helsinki City Festival, held for the first time, announces that next year it will move to a new venue, Nordis, i.e. the Helsinki Ice Hall and its outdoor areas.

This year, the event was held at the adjacent Bolt arena at the same time as the Sideways festival held at Nordis.

The first day of the weekend’s Helsinki City Festival was sold out, and a total of 27,000 tickets were sold for the festival. The event announces that it aims for a larger audience next year with the new venue.

Sideways has been organized at Nordis since 2018. This year, Sideways announced that the festival will be held for the last time in its current location.

On Sideways’ social media, various uncertainty factors have been cited as reasons, such as the Garden arena planned for the area, other development projects in the vicinity, and other events organized in the area.
