Near Nice, an auction dedicated to James Bond on one of his filming locations

Part of the profits from sales will be donated to the citadel of Villefranche-sur-Mer, which was one of the filming locations for Never again Neverin 1983.

In memory of a James Bond filming in Villefranche-sur-Mer, a magnificent and popular small town on the Côte d’Azur, near Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), an evening with screening, conference and auction is organized, this Thursday, in honor of the famous British spy. Collectible posters, some autographed, or even the printing of a gun barrel will be offered to buyers and part of the profits will return to the city and in favor of its citadel, an emblematic heritage where the town hall is also nestled. The money will be used for the maintenance and continued restoration of the building which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, specifies the community, which rented the auditorium and helped with the organization.

In 1983, Sean Connery in Never ever again by Irvin Kershner had toured the citadel with the Villefranche harbor and its shades of blue as a backdrop. A scene was also captured directly on the dock and on the main Amélie Pollonais square. This sale, orchestrated by the James Bond France and Great Britain club, will take place in the presence of former participants in this filming on the edge of the Riviera coast.

Former actress and stuntman

Featured is announced for a conference Barbara Carrera, one of the main actresses of the film, now aged 78, whose tragic role marked the history of the character. Michael Runyard, the Connery-era stuntman, will also speak to talk about indiscretions and memories from filming.
