Several personalities from the multi-award winning film Anatomy of a fall are now part of the 487 new members of the American institution.
The film Anatomy of a fall completes its ascent, awarded many times in 2023 and 2024. It is now the turn of the film team to reward the future winners. Justine Triet, director ofAnatomy of a fall is one of 8 members elected by the Academy to have received a multiple nomination. She has the choice of joining the directing or writing section. Sandra Hüller and Swann Arlaud are selected in the actors category, Laurent Sénéchal for editing, production designer Emmanuelle Duplay in the “production design” category and Arthur Harari for the screenplay.
Justine Triet’s film has won multiple awards in recent months, notably at the Oscars (best original screenplay), but also by the 2023 Cannes Film Festival (Palme d’Or), at the Césars (best film, best direction, best actress, best actor in a supporting role) or at the Golden Globes (best foreign language film, best screenplay).
Other French personalities to join the Oscar Academy: Maïwenn, Josiane Balasko, Vincent Lindon, Alice Diop, Aïssa Maïga and Frédéric Lainé, in charge of special effects in the Animal KingdomOther guests include actresses Jessica Alba, Lily Gladstone and Catherine O’Hara, as well as directors SS Rajamouli and David Yates.
The artists recruited by this prestigious institution, which already has more than 11,000 members, have the mission of electing the future winners. In total, 487 artists, who have distinguished themselves by their talents in the cinematographic field, are invited to join the Academy this year. This has more than 10 categories, such as the script, the performance of the actors, editing, management, filming and even the soundtrack.
