The evocative setting of Torre Alba will host the traditional appointment with “A sea of books”, the literary review of Terrasini (Palermo) now in its ninth edition, organized by the LUNA -ETS Cultural Association and sponsored by the Municipality of Terrasini with the management editorial by Franco Cascio. “This year’s edition also features notable guests: the writers Ugo Barbara, Francesco and Silio Bozzi, Attilio Bolzoni, Francesca Maccani, Stefania Auci and the journalists Alessandra Ziniti, Elvira Terranova, Andrea Tuttoilmondo, Roberto Chifari”, we read in a note.

Terrasini’s longest-running cultural event, founded in 2016, “is a point of reference for the major Italian and independent publishing houses. In addition to representing an important impulse for the promotion of reading, the event has managed to carve out a space for itself in the publishing world Italian alongside the most important national literary festivals”. We begin on Thursday 4 July with “I Malarazza” (Rizzoli) by Ugo Barbara (journalist Roberto Chifari speaks with the author), the story of an exceptional family dealing with the upheavals of history and the curse that falls upon who is not satisfied with a muted present. The protagonists of the second day, 9 July, will be Francesco and Silio Bozzi (with the authors the journalist Andrea Tuttoilmondo talks) with “Stupor Mundi” (Solferino), a narration with a cinematic rhythm with three strange characters at the center and the love for Sicily. Third appointment, July 11th, with Attilio Bolzoni’s latest work “Controvento – Frontier Tales” (Zolfo), the stories and investigations of one of the most famous Italian reporters. The journalist Alessandra Ziniti talks to the author. On July 18th it will be the turn of Francesca Maccani and her freshly printed novel “Agata del vento” (Rizzoli), a historical novel inspired by the true story of an Aeolian healer. Stefania Auci talks to the author. It ends on July 25th with “La notte dell’Antimafia” (Aliberti) by Lucio Luca (journalist Elvira Terranova speaks with the author), an Italian story of power, corruption and denied justice.

“Special thanks to the mayor of Terrasini Giosuè Maniaci who has always bet on the promotion of culture and to the Councilor for Culture Nunzio Maniaci for his efforts in organizing this ninth edition”, we read in the note.
