In Toulouse, a sound tour to learn everything about Nougaro

“Nougaro is an important character from Toulouse known throughout France. It’s nice to honor him in this way, in audio, confides David, a tourist who came to visit the Ville Rose for a few days. I didn’t know that the song Ô Toulouse originated from resentment (related to his unhappy childhood). We learn a lot of anecdotes about the singer.

Sitting on the bench next to the totem located a few meters from the life-size bronze statue of Claude Nougaro, on the Charles-de-Gaulle square, this Marseillais is enjoying the sound walk offered by the town hall on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the artist’s death. Until the end of September, Toulouse residents and tourists can immerse themselves in Claude Nougaro’s journey, thanks to eight installations set up in different locations in the city center.
