Maluma lashed out at Argentina fans at the Copa America final
Two maddening final events took place yesterday on two different continents, and while we were all glued to the Spain-England game, overseas everyone was watching the Copa America where Argentina and Colombia competed for the title of champion. The person who was caught in a completely embarrassing documentary when the heat got to his head is none other than the Colombian singer Maluma, who went crazy on the fans of the opponent who won – and left us with a video that he liked the silence

While all of us here were captivated by the Euro final and invested in it mentally (and financially, unfortunately), on the other side of the world another and no less maddening final took place: the Copa America final where Argentina and Colombia played. Football, like football, manages to bring out the animalistic and uncontrollable sides in us all, and there was someone who was not ashamed to give his all for his country – the Colombian singer Maluma who completely freaked out in front of the opponent’s fans in light blue.

Crazy footage that surfaced online caught him in a fiery moment when he lost control of himself, completely lashing out at the fans in front of him and waving his hands aggressively in all directions. Because we know what emotions football can bring out of a person, we really did not come to judge Maluma for his behavior and we are even very forgiving, because there is no doubt that this is pure love of homeland and football – and that simply moves us.

In the 119th minute there was supposed to be a penalty in favor of Colombia, the referee chose not to go to VAR which angered Maluma and the other Colombian fans – and probably what led to the big outburst. Seconds later the referee blew his whistle to end the game and Argentina received the trophy.

His team did lose, but we have a surprising detail that dropped our jaws: Maluma himself was a soccer player in his youth. He even said in an interview that he played soccer for ten years in one of the leading teams in Colombia, until he decided to retire and work on his music instead of a career in sports.
