Eminem tops Billboard 200 album chart, dethroning Taylor Swift from the top spot after three months

The American rapper Eminem51, has ended Taylor Swift’s three-month winning streak and managed to position itself at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart with his latest album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace).

The American rapper’s twelfth EP, which went on sale on July 12, tops the Billboard 200 chart this week after achieving the equivalent of 281,000 sales in the US including 220 million streams and 114,000 traditional sales, all as digital downloads, according to Luminate data shared by The New York Times.

This is the eighth time that Eminem has reached number one on the Billboard chart, a streak that ties him with singers of the stature of Bruce Springsteen Barbra Streisand or rapper Ye.

The disc of Taylor Swift, The Tortured Poets Departmentpublished on April 19, fell to fourth place after a spectacular run of 12 weeks at the top of this list.

The second and third spots on the Billboard 200 this week are occupied by the titles Romance: Untold of the boy band South Korean K-Pop ENHYPEN and The Great American Bar Sceneby American singer-songwriter Zach Bryan, respectively.
