“TPMP”: Cyril Hanouna promises to “tell everything” on Sunday evening, after Arcom’s decision to remove C8 from TNT

Since the thunderclap this Wednesday morning, Cyril Hanouna has remained surprisingly silent. The day after Arcom withdrew the C8 frequency, the star host of “Touche pas à mon poste” announced to his subscribers this Thursday that he will post a video on Sunday evening “to tell everything (…)”.

“My darlings, I will post a video on Sunday evening to tell you everything. And give you my feelings on all this,” wrote Cyril Hanouna on X, in his first public speech since the Arcom decision. Before showing his gratitude to his fans: “I love you and I thank you for all your messages! You are just exceptional!”

This Wednesday, after several days of suspense, the audiovisual regulatory authority ruled and withdrew the frequencies of two DTT channels: C8 and NRJ 12. By ousting C8, which has accumulated 7.6 million euros in fines due to Cyril Hanouna’s excesses at the helm of “Touche pas à mon poste”, Arcom is sending a strong signal to the channels on the need to respect their obligations, particularly in terms of broadcast control.

The end of C8 does not necessarily mean that of “TPMP”. “We will be there, on air, at the start of the school year and motivated as never before. All together we will take on this new challenge. One chapter will close, another will open”, we can read in an email sent to all employees by H2O, Cyril Hanouna’s production company, which urges its teams to “enjoy” their “vacation”.

Cyril Hanouna could work elsewhere from next fall and has already suggested taking over in September “On marche sur la tête”, the show held especially during the legislative elections on Europe 1 radio, also in the hands of Vincent Bolloré.
