“It was magnificent”: Renaud and his guests offer a touching concert for the benefit of UNICEF

He takes to the stage of the town hall of the 13th arrondissement of Paris to the warm applause of 700 people standing. Clasping his hands in thanks, Renaud stares at the audience and smiles. “Music!” he says quickly, as if to cut off the overly long outpourings. The honors go to others! In a damaged but determined voice, he sings “Manhattan-Kaboul” in a duet with the young Leïla Lachterman.

Then all the artists, about twenty, rush onto the stage for “Chanson pour l’Haïti”. Gauvain Sers and Gaëtan Roussel share a microphone, Renaud doesn’t hesitate to hand his to Benoît Dorémus… A joyful and slightly crazy conclusion to an evening rich in emotion, this concert of 17 songs by the singer given by the young guard of French-speaking song.
