TV ratings: 7.7 million viewers tuned in for the closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games

The gold medal in ratings, by far. This Sunday, September 8, France 2 brought together 7.7 million viewers for the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. 37.7% of the audience in front of their TVs watched the show during which, in the rain but with fervor, Amadou and Mariam, Martin Solveig, Kavinsky, Busy P, Kungs and Jean-Michel Jarre performed. La Deux therefore achieved an excellent score, although lower than that of the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games on August 28 (10.2 million people), when schoolchildren were still on vacation.

The silver medal therefore comes far behind. TF1 brings together 2.3 million viewers in front of Nicolas Bedos’ “Mascarade”. The dramatic comedy, with Pierre Niney, Marine Vacth, Isabelle Adjani and François Cluzet, records 12.7% audience share (PDA). This is far from the performance achieved by “Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis” on Sunday, September 1 (5.7 million people) on TF1. When it was released in theaters in November 2022, Bedos’ feature film attracted 853,000 spectators.

Arte gets away with “The Magnificent Seven”

In third place, France 3 intrigues 1.6 million crime fans (7.7% audience share) with a rerun of its detective series “Commissaire Dupin”. M6 stands out with a rerun of “Zone interdite”. The magazine presented by Ophélie Meunier programmed an issue entitled “Evictions, seizures, auctions: bailiffs on the front line” and captivated 1.3 million people (7.1% of the audience).

Arte also did well with “The Magnificent Seven”: the western, starring Steve McQueen, Yul Brynner and Charles Bronson, attracted 1.1 million moviegoers (5.4% audience share). No other channel reached the 600,000 viewer mark.
