Thanks to practicing aerial yoga 3 times a week, Nguyen Thi Thu Uyen, 24 years old, lost 8 cm in her waist, from 68 to 60 cm, with a supple and attractive body.
The girl is 1.65 meters tall, weighs 46 kg, but has a lot of belly fat, waist circumference 68 cm. As an office worker, Uyen feels her body is “fat” even though she eats little, so she wants to exercise to improve.
Initially, Uyen turned to yoga to keep her body flexible through exercises on the mat. However, with regular yoga, she felt too boring. “I’m young, I want to be more active,” Uyen said, then researched and switched to aerial yoga.
Fly Yoga, also known as Aerial Yoga, is a form of yoga that combines yoga and Pilates poses performed in the air, using a rope or hammock for support. This style not only helps increase strength and flexibility but also creates a feeling of relaxation and reduces stress. Yoga Fly was developed from New York, USA and has become popular worldwide.
Linh takes classes with a coach, 3 sessions a week, each session 1-1.5 hours. Thanks to her experience with regular yoga, Uyen understands how to use breathing, how to open the joints of her arms, shoulders, and groin, relax her whole body, listen to her breath and inner feelings, and not let herself get distracted.
Each flying yoga session, she learns one or a few key movements, affecting a few parts of her body to improve, such as exercises to help straighten her back, open her shoulders, increase arm strength, and fat exercises. belly, breast enlargement… the purpose is to have a more beautiful body.
Unlike regular yoga with lighter exercises and only on the mat, Uyen considers flying yoga to be quite heavy, having to use one’s strength to balance on the rope, use strength to swing up, reverse and perform postures. At first, the girl practiced slowly with basic exercises, then progressed to difficult movements.
However, she confided, at first it was a bit frustrating because she was tired. In particular, with difficult positions, lifting the body up high, holding herself with only the swing rope, Uyen’s limbs sweat, her heart beats fast due to tremors, and if she lacks concentration, she will easily fall, risking injury. and haunted.
After each workout session, Uyen has muscle pain. When swinging to a height or getting dizzy, she screams and wants to get down. However, when she saw older, experienced women getting up the ropes very quickly and creating beautiful postures, she aspired to conquer.
“At that time, I just thought older sisters could do it, I’m still young, why can’t I?”, Uyen said.
From then on, she tried a little every day, applying the lessons she learned from regular yoga as much as possible. For example, when lying suspended in a silk hammock and performing movements, she tried to relax her body by pulling the tool, breathing evenly and deeply, focusing and being patient. Gradually, Uyen can explore difficult positions.
The girl can easily do handstands or lean back thanks to the support of the exercise band, increasing her ability to maintain balance. To avoid feeling uncomfortable in the stomach, Uyen eats lightly 1-2 hours before exercising. The subject brings many benefits to physical and psychological health, helping girls get rid of back, shoulder and neck pain. The inversion movements also help her cure vestibular syndrome – standing up and sitting down does not cause dizziness, lightheadedness or headaches.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Institute of Digestive Surgery, Central Military Hospital 108, said that eating slowly and chewing thoroughly helps you feel full longer, thereby improving your physique. In principle, the body’s blood sugar level usually increases significantly 15 minutes after the person starts eating and is likely to peak 30 minutes later. At this time, the brain begins to send satiety signals to the intestines and stomach, causing cravings to quickly disappear. Therefore, if you eat too fast, it means you have eaten too much food before the signal is emitted, which will affect the control of food intake.
