Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women worldwide. The main treatment methods are surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy according to modern medicine.

Black galangal is widely distributed in Asia and has many health benefits such as containing steroid glycosides that slow down and regulate heart rate. Flavonoid antioxidants contribute to fighting ulcers, sedation, and increasing cerebral blood circulation. Alkaloids inhibit or stimulate the central nervous system, affect the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, and affect blood pressure.

Currently, there is no evidence to confirm that black radiate leaves are effective in treating breast cancer. Current studies have only tested on mice, showing that the highly technologically filtered extract of black radiate leaves is effective on two cell lines of liver cancer and lung cancer in mice. However, studies using high technology for extraction, small scale, have not been performed on humans. Therefore, more research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of this plant in treating tumors in general and breast cancer in particular.

You should consult your doctor before using any medication during breast cancer treatment. Do not arbitrarily use leaves to treat cancer. When a tumor appears in the body, the patient should go to a doctor for examination and effective treatment. Women should be screened for breast cancer annually at medical facilities with full paraclinical diagnostic facilities such as breast ultrasound, mammography, and breast MRI.

Modern medicine has developed with many breast cancer treatment methods that help achieve high efficiency and improve the quality of life for patients. If detected early and treated promptly, stage 0 breast cancer has a 5-year survival rate of 99%. Patients can have the entire breast removed or have surgery to remove the tumor and cut it 1-2 cm wider, followed by additional radiation therapy.

In stage one, the tumor is less than 2 cm in size and has not metastasized to lymph nodes. Treatment usually only requires wide surgical excision of the tumor and radiotherapy or mastectomy, followed by continued endocrine treatment. In this group, the 5-year survival rate can be up to 99%. In stages 2-3, the 5-year survival rate still reaches 80-86%, in stage 4, this rate corresponds to 25-30%. Patients also receive cosmetic breast reconstruction surgery to help them feel confident at work and maintain family happiness.
