Mediterranean beaches closed due to sewage intrusion amid rains

On Friday, December 20, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at the request of the Israeli Ministry of Health, published an order to close the beaches of the central part of the Mediterranean coast due to sewage entering the coastal zone amid heavy rains.

According to weather forecasters, rain is expected throughout today. There may also be light rain tomorrow in the morning. Most likely, the order to close beaches due to water pollution will be lifted early next week.

On October 31, the swimming season officially ended. This means that there will be no lifeguards on the beaches until the next swimming season. We remind you: swimming on beaches where there are no lifeguards is prohibited. Unfortunately, many people ignore this ban.
