6 effective ways to delay white hair
White hair is a natural part of the puberty process, and to put it mildly, the aging of the body. We get our hair color from the hair root, where cells called melanocytes reside, which produce the pigment – hair color. The melanin is transferred from there to the rest of the hair. The life cycle of a hair is broadly divided into growth, rest and shedding. At this time, the melanin is produced and transferred to the hair, thus we will see the color of our hair. At some point in life, those cells no longer produce melanin like they “used to”, and the hair turns gray. This is a natural process that occurs in every person, so is it possible to stop it? not. Can it be delayed or slowed down? There is such a possibility. These are the factors that have been identified as being able to slow down the bleaching process:

  1. stress levels – The cliché of “my hair turns white from too much stress” is truer than you think. A 2020 study found in a group of people aged 25 to 30 that stress produces free radicals that lead to chronic inflammation, which in turn contributes to the appearance of gray hair by putting pressure on the melanocyte cells responsible for hair color.   4. Doctor’s consultation – Although the graying of the hair is a natural phenomenon, sometimes an investigation is required such as a blood test for vitamin deficiency or a test to see if the thyroid gland is balanced, as these may cause the appearance of gray hair earlier than expected.
