5 diseases that cause heartburn that are easily confused with reflux

Gastroesophageal reflux is a condition in which stomach acid moves into the esophagus, causing heartburn, belching, and burning pain in the chest. The patient feels a burning sensation in the throat, a sour taste in the mouth, and coughs. Some other health conditions also cause heartburn and other similar symptoms.
