More than 1.1 million people in Ho Chi Minh City have integrated electronic health books on the VNeID application, gradually replacing traditional paper medical examination books.

On December 31, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Tang Chi Thuong said the number of registrations increased in The 55 days and nights campaign effectively deployed the integrated electronic health book on the VNeID applicationsince November 7. Nearly 23,000 referral papers and more than 258,000 follow-up examination papers are integrated, facilitating patient record management and minimizing administrative procedures at medical facilities.

To date, all medical examination and treatment facilities in the city have uploaded full data to the Health Insurance Assessment Data Receiving Portal. Thanks to that, data is provided and updated in the VNeID electronic health book for residents of Ho Chi Minh City and people from other provinces who have health insurance medical examination and treatment at city medical facilities.

100% of medical examination and treatment facilities organize activities to guide the installation of the VNeID application and use of the Electronic Health Book, and support people in installing and using the application. Hospitals also set up communication corners with a variety of forms such as electronic kiosks, television screens, electronic boards, printed documents… about the benefits of electronic health books.

In October, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested to integrate the display of health information into the VNeID electronic health book and move towards medical examination and treatment with health insurance regardless of administrative boundaries.
