The emergency room at RAMBAM hospital is 200% full

Due to the sharp increase in the incidence of ARVI throughout the country, the load on emergency departments has increased significantly. The management of the Rambam hospital in Haifa reports that the emergency room is occupied at 200% of the estimated number of patients.

Such overload has been observed in the emergency department for ten days in a row. Hospitalization departments are also overcrowded, where the number of patients is 105% of the calculated number.

Most people arriving at the emergency room suffer from breathing difficulties caused by complications of the flu, as well as pneumonia. Elderly people suffer the most complications.
