Experts reveal: the mistake we all make at breakfast

Breakfast is considered the “important meal of the day”, but it turns out that most of us make a serious mistake in its timing. Nutritional experts agree that you should not start eating immediately upon setting up, and it is better to wait a few hours.

Dr. Ruby Augel, an international nutrition expert, claims that the traditional breakfast’s traditional approach requires rethinking: “When we restrict eating hours and leave a spacious at least 12 hours between the last meal of the day the next day, our bodies move to burning fat instead of carbohydrates.” He said it could lead to weight loss and significant improvement in metabolic health.

Why not in the early morning?
Prof. Adam Collins from the University of Sari explains: “Most people are just not hungry in the early morning – and it is not coincidental. The body has already begun to release blood glucose in preparation for awakening. You already have energy in the system.”

The problem with traditional breakfast
“The grains, toasts and pastries we are used to eating in the morning make a sharp jump in sugar levels, followed by a dramatic fall,” explains Dr. Agella. “The result? You feel hungry at ten in the morning and are looking for coffee and snacks to hold on to the afternoon. ”

What to do when you get up?
Ogella recommends focusing on the hydration: “The kidneys have worked overtime during the night. Start the day with water, you can add some salt, and wait with the food until 9 or 10.”

The winning recipe for breakfast

According to the experts, the ideal breakfast should be rich in protein and dietary fiber. Here are some ideas:

• Healthy smoothie: two tablespoons of oatmeal, two tablespoons of ground flaxseed, chia seeds, grated apple, pumpkin seeds and protein powder

• scrambled eggs or tofu on whole wheat bread with avocado

• Shakshuka with lentils and avocados

Surprising tip: “You can definitely eat a completely salty meal,” says Dr. Augel. “Why not eat residue from dinner? Salmon from yesterday with sweet potato, vegetables and lettuce leaves are a great option. ”

Is it possible to skip breakfast?
Prof. Collins warns that there is a connection between a breakfast for obesity, although he states that the relationship may be due to the fact that overweight people tend to skip meals in an attempt to reduce calories.

The new recommendation is clear: don’t rush to eat immediately when you get up. Instead, start the day with multiple drinking, and plan a nutritious and rich breakfast for protein towards 9-10 am. And if you still skip breakfast? The main thing is to maintain a balanced diet in the rest of the day and avoid eating over the other meals.
