Israel is leading a clinical experiment in revolutionary colorectal cancer

New treatment breakthrough for cancer starts in Israel: First patient in the world, Assuta received medical centers in revolutionary experimental medicine for the treatment of colorectal cancer, one of the most common and deadly cancer types. Following this data, it was decided to move to the third stage of the experiment, in which the drug will be examined on a large number of patients around the world as Israel’s first.

The third stage of the clinical experiment is considered critical before final approval of the drug. At this stage, hundreds to thousands of patients from around the world participate in order to test the efficiency and safety of treatment with broad scale. If the drug also proves itself at this point, it may be approved for widespread use – a move that may completely change the way in which colon cancer is treated and to offer new hope for thousands of patients every year.
