New medications and technologies: recommendations for the “basket of drugs” are presented

The public commission for the expansion of the “baskets of drugs” for 2025 – a list of medical services and drugs that are subsidized by the state – completed its work and presented recommendations to the Minister of Health. The commission recommends including 117 drugs and technologies necessary for the treatment of about 318 thousand people with a total cost of 650 million shekels.

The report of the Ministry of Health states that this year the basket of medications and services offers significant innovations in the field of preventive medicine, including the expansion of vaccination and screening examinations necessary for the early detection of diseases.

Medicines and technologies are also included for the treatment of chronic diseases, such as diabetes, lung hypertension, kidney diseases and others. Innovative drugs for the treatment of cancer and technology for improving quality in life are also included in the “basket of drugs”.

Medicines and technologies for the prevention of diseases
