Microwave technology: This is a minimally invasive method, less pain, safe but fast, can be permanently effective after 1-2 procedures, according to Dr. Bich.

Microwave energy (microwave) 70 degrees Celsius focuses on destroying the sweat directly under the skin of the armpits, causing them to lose the sweating function. The machine has a cooling technology to protect the skin surface and tissue around the sweat gland. After treatment, the armpits may swell, pain, mild bruises but after a few days. Botox injection: Botox is refined from the toxin of Clostridium Botulinum bacteria. The drug is directly injected into the skin under the arm to inhibit the transmission path of the nerve that stimulates sweat. As a result, the signal of sweating to the armpits is interrupted, not working, so it reduces sweat and odors.

Drugs and creams against sweating: Using drugs containing aluminum chloric, glycopyrolate can reduce armpit odor. Dr. Bich said these drugs are not available in Vietnam. People with sweating and light odor may use products containing aluminum chloride salt to temporarily clog sweat tubes. Products containing aluminum salt are easy to use, there are many forms such as deodorant spray, deodorant roller but must be used daily. Chloride can irritate, dermatitis when used regularly or flying clothes or yellowing with bright shirts.

When the above treatments do not work, the doctor prescribes laparoscopic surgery to cut sweat glands or sympathetic nerves.

In addition, regular body hygiene, dry body, limiting dark spices, using sweat -absorbing pads, wearing comfortable and breathable clothes … also helps to control a part of the odor in the lower arm.
