Alkaline water or alkaline ionic water is a type of water with a higher pH than conventional water. The pH of alkaline water 8-9, neutral water has a pH of 7. Alkaline water can be produced in many ways such as adding alkaline minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium into water or using ionization machine to separate water into acidic and alkaline ingredients.
Many people think that drinking alkaline water can help neutralize acids in the body and prevent many diseases, including cancer. This view comes from the hypothesis that the acidic environment creates favorable conditions for cancer cells to grow. However, there is no scientific evidence to prove that drinking alkaline water can prevent cancer and do not recommend the use of alkaline water such as cancer treatment.
Cancer cells consume more glucose and produce lactic acid, making the environment more acidic around them. But it does not mean that the acidic environment causes cancer, but the existence of new cancer cells makes the environment acidic. The human body has a self-regulating mechanism to maintain the pH of blood in the range of 7.35-7.45. Alkaline water when entering the body will be neutralized by the acid in the stomach, so it does not significantly affect the pH of the blood.
Cancer patients misunderstood the effects of alkaline water that can be delayed, skip the advanced treatment methods that have been scientifically proven such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, target drug, immunity … Progressive cancer treatment is often more difficult, expensive, the rate of cure is low.

You can use alkaline water for the purpose of adding water for the body, not expected to be able to prevent or treat cancer.
Once you have been diagnosed with cancer, you should follow the doctor’s treatment regimen, re -examination according to the schedule, keep the spirit of optimism, and eat enough nutrients. In particular, you prioritize green vegetables, fruits, proteins and limit processed foods, moderation activities, regular exercise, reasonable rest, limiting the consumption of alcohol, tobacco and other stimulants.
