Danger between the sheets: The worrying increase in adhesion in STDs in Israel continues

The infection of STDs in Israel continues with alarming experience: The Ministry of Health data, which compares between 2024 and 2023, and the first monthly 2025 data indicate the continuation of the worrying trend, headed by gonorrhea. Experts warn that besides the increase in the number of infection, the concern in the medical world is increasing from the development of antibiotic resistance to antibiotics in STDs, mainly in gonorrhea, but also in Calmadia and to some extent in circulation. Today, gonorrhea in Israel is usually based on the injection of the Zipriaxon together with Azatromepin balls – treatment that has until recently effective, but reports in the world indicate durable varieties for both drugs. Also chlamydia, which in the past was usually treated with Decissicyclin or Azimromicin, has also begun to show in some cases resistant.

The danger of durability is that in the near future, varieties of STD bacteria will appear that they cannot be treated at all, which can lead to gambling symptoms, long -term complications, and extensive adherence to the community. The concern is that, like durability that has developed in hospitals, even in the field of sex diseases, we will stand in an age where gonorrhea is completely resolved to treat sex and will not have an effective drug response.

At the same time, in the past year, worldwide-also in Israel-a new and controversial practice: taking Dox cynical antibiotics immediately after an unprotected sexual contact (Post-XPOSURE PPPHYAXIS) at a dose of 200 milligrams, in an attempt to prevent infection in Clalmia, gonorrhea and circular. However, experts warn that frequent use of Dephitsiklin may accelerate the formation of durability to this drug as well, and therefore this practice should be applied with caution and medical supervision only.
