On April 9, Tien Giang Department of Health announced the above results, saying that the 29% alcoholic alcohol samples were produced at Kha Thy Co., Ltd. (Tan Ly Dong and Chau Thanh commune), tested at the Ho Chi Minh City Public Health Institute.
As a result, alcohols were used by the victim, produced on June 9, 2024 (expiry date), containing methanol content up to 10,730,571 mg/l ethanol 100 °. This figure exceeds 1,073.05 times the permitted level, identified as the cause of poisoning.
In addition, another alcohol model is glutinous rice with 40%alcohol content, also produced at this company, giving test results containing 12,184,266 mg/l ethanol 100 °, exceeding the allowed level of 6,092.13 times.
Earlier, the People’s Court of Tan Phu Dong District (Tien Giang) organized tourism in Ninh Thuan. On the night of March 29, 8 people drank more than 6 bottles of fruit wine, each bottle of about 500 ml.
The next morning, a group of people showed signs of digestive disorders, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, thinking of drunkenness, so the group moved to Tien Giang. On the way, the victims had severe symptoms, were taken to Can Giuoc Regional General Hospital in Long An emergency, then moved to Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City. The youngest person in the 25 -year -old victim group was deeply comatose and died a day later.
After the Ministry of Health requested to clarify, the authorities of Tien Giang province took samples to conduct tests.
Currently, a patient was transferred to treatment at Tien Giang General Hospital, the remaining 6 health was stable and returned to normal work.
