Red face due to dilated blood vessels

If left untreated, the disease can progress to thickening of the skin of the nose – a characteristic deformation of long-term rosacea.

Dr. Linh prescribed Mr. Hung treatment with long pulse YAG laser to help shrink dilated capillaries, reduce redness and even skin color. The treatment is 4-6 times, each session 2-4 weeks apart. He was given a combination of topical anti-inflammatory drugs and skin barrier restoration to reduce irritation and limit the risk of recurrence.

Dr. Linh said the long-pulse YAG laser selectively affects dilated blood vessels, helping to significantly reduce redness immediately after each treatment session. However, patients still have to combine topical medications and change living habits to maintain effectiveness. After 3 laser sessions and applying medication according to instructions, the red area on his nose decreased significantly.
