ADHD – not what you thought: the known features and what you need to know

In the modern age where the rush is an inseparable part of the routine, many of us suffer from what is known as FOMO (fear of missing out). The fear of missing something causes us to be in constant motion and try to get everything done, in a kind of frenzy reminiscent of hyperactivity.

The problem with traditional diagnosis is its focus on children and the school environment. In adults, ADHD takes a completely different form. Therefore, many of the adults who were not diagnosed in childhood do not even imagine that their difficulties stem from a neurological condition, related to a disruption in the conduction of neurotransmitters in the brain, primarily dopamine.

Beyond the dry criteria in the medical literature, ADHD has “transparent signs” – character traits and behaviors that many tend to attribute to personality, but are actually a derivative of the neurological disorder. Here are some of the most prominent of them:
