Charles III spoke about successes in the fight against cancer

King Charles III of Great Britain made a video message to his subjects, in which he spoke about progress in the treatment of cancer. He emphasized: this was the result of early diagnosis.

“Today I can share with you the good news that through early diagnosis, effective intervention and strict adherence to doctors’ orders, my own cancer treatment schedule can be shortened in the new year,” he said.

The message was recorded two weeks ago and shown on television as part of the Stand Up To Cancer campaign, run in conjunction with Cancer Research UK, which funds cancer research.

The monarch noted that during the treatment he felt surrounded by care and support – like other cancer patients. He spoke about the launch of a national online screening program, urging Britons to get diagnosed on time.
