An unusual and panic-inducing event took place this evening (Monday) in a kibbutz hall in the Gezer regional council in Shefala, when a 34-year-old groom collapsed during his wedding and after CPR he was taken to a hospital in serious condition, sedated and ventilated. An eyewitness said: “The groom collapsed on the dance floor in front of his relatives, and his condition is currently unstable.”
Ben Sinai, a medic at the Rescue Union who was also one of the guests at the event, said: “I was in the hall as one of the guests at the wedding event, I suddenly saw a commotion and cries for help and I noticed the groom who had collapsed and suffered a heart attack, I immediately called for help and began resuscitation operations with the help of other medics including the use of the defibrillator of the event hall, after prolonged resuscitation operations and miraculously his heart started beating again he was taken to the hospital when his condition is at this stage difficult”.
