A security guard at the department for premature babies at the Ichilov hospital has been diagnosed with measles. The Ministry of Health said the security guard was present at the entrance to the department on Saturday, February 14, for half an hour from 18:52, and again on Sunday, February 15, from 14:45 to 19:30, when he left work due to ill health.
The hospital has contacted everyone the patient may have come into contact with during its work.
The Ministry of Health urged people who feel unwell or have symptoms characteristic of measles not to attend mass events and avoid contact with others. If you need to go to a clinic or hospital emergency department, it is recommended to coordinate the visit in advance and notify the medical staff.
Measles is a highly contagious viral disease that causes, among other things, fever, malaise, runny nose and rash, and can lead to severe and sometimes life-threatening complications.
