Dr. Amir Shahar, senior physician in the emergency medicine department at Yoseftal Medical Center from a group Klalit Health Services is particularly busy these days treating the injured who arrive at the emergency room. Yesterday (Sunday) a missile fired near the building where his apartment is located – caused damage there.
His son and granddaughters were at home at the time of the alarm, but fortunately, managed to get down to the common shelter in the building – and thus were saved. The doctor himself finished his shift at the Yoseftal Medical Center at night. When he got up in the morning, he went to Tel Aviv, and on his way home – his son told him about the injury.
“It was a shocking moment to see your house after such an impact. I was told that one of the small bombs exploded in his house, it was probably a missile with a ‘split head,'” Dr. Shahar tells Mako Health. “But the most important thing is that no one was hurt.”
