Sauna, massage and medical examination and treatment facility ‘underground’

On March 20, the leader of Tay Hoa Commune People’s Committee said that the wife of the owner of this facility, 43 years old, directly participates in medical examination and treatment for people, while she herself is in charge of managing and enjoying social support policies for people with severe neurological disabilities.

This woman was also granted a certificate of completion of a professional training course for facial and body care technicians in June 2024 by a facial and body care company in Can Tho City.

Previously, leaders of Tay Hoa commune received feedback from business households in the medical examination and treatment organization even though they were only licensed to provide sauna, massage and similar health promotion services. This facility also falsely advertises online, claiming to be able to treat many complex diseases.

According to Tay Hoa Commune Party Committee, the verification process showed that the above establishment first registered its business on October 13, 2025. The local government inspected and made a commitment to suspend operations on March 10, but this facility continued to violate.

Authorities said that the incident “caused anger in public opinion, posed great risks to people’s lives and health, and negatively affected the security and order situation.” Tay Hoa Commune Party Committee requested specialized agencies to inspect and handle the above business households.
